Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! Where did you score your pair?
I found mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .

Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also look great.

Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
