Mini review of Apex Legends

— About Genre (mode?) I don’t see the point in telling the battle royale, because only the lazy don’t know what it is now. Apex legends belongs to this genre. Let’s move straight to the next point.

How to do marketing correctly?

— The game developers did a very nice job with the game’s advertising campaign. They just ignored her and didn’t waste any money or effort. The entire calculation was based on word of mouth, thanks to which more than 10 million people have already played the game. An ideal solution against the backdrop of fashion for scandals in the gaming industry (and not only). The game came out unexpectedly for everyone, out of the blue… And judge for yourself what could be said in the advertising of this game? We will have Titanfall (developed by Respawn Entertainment) without titans, we will have another battle royale, we will not have equipment in the game… The modern community would tear to shreds all the initiatives and attempts of the developers in this direction. These are the realities, what can we do… So let’s move on.

— This is the word that can https://costabingocasino.co.uk/bonus/ be used to describe any game you don’t like. Therefore, what will be written next is exactly what is called – taste.

I tried many battle royales, but only rarely did I get stuck. Fortnite is the perfect game for the modern generation (the Minecraft generation?). Everything is not very serious, the weapon shoots terribly, the walls that appear in front of your forehead are generally infuriating. Battle Royale Blackout smells like a CODa appendage in every sense of the word. It’s noticeable that they did it in a hurry (controlling the equipment alone is worth it), they kill quickly and the downloads take a long time, the map seems to be sewn together with white threads (squares). Fear the wolves had every chance to become a great game, but the implementation let us down in every sense, from bugs to weapon behavior. And why play this when you have to run to the store and grab Metro Exodus from the shelves? That leaves PUBG. For me, until today, pubg remained the only normal game of this genre (mode. ) It may lack polish, but the leisurely gameplay (intense in places) gets the job done. You need to play it measuredly, don’t rush anywhere. It’s interesting to shoot, each gun behaves adequately and clearly. The maps are huge, there is a variety of equipment. All this creates interesting situations over and over again. But time passes and I want to try new things.

— And now Apex comes out (in common parlance, nut). From him I expected to see a Blackout clone, but all my fears disappeared from the very first game. Firstly, adequate character classes.

— Each of them differs only in a couple of abilities, which radically change various combat tactics. All this reminds us of some kind of overwatch, but with the condition that everyone has the same weapon (what you pick up from the floor). Most of the annoying aspects of games of the genre (mode?) royalty is simply crossed off the list. The landing place is chosen by only one person in the squad, loading and waiting for the game lasts nothing. I didn’t have time to finish and here you are again flying down to awesome sci-fi music. The shooting migrated straight from titanfall, which simply cannot but rejoice, there is basically no equipment (no problems), you feel the hero perfectly. Surprisingly (for a free game) people in the squad behave harmoniously, at least on PS4. They try to help and come to the rescue in a timely manner. This is facilitated by very convenient controls; marking where to run or where the enemy is is as easy as shelling pears. The dynamics of the game are very adequate – first you look for equipment, then you calmly explore the area, and when you meet an enemy, the dynamics begin, tackles, throwing grenades, using abilities. After the battle, the game gives you a rest and so on… and all this in the spirit of Titanfall… Just great. But I consider the most important feature of the game to be the ability to revive partners in the game. After the death of your partner, the token that you pick up from the body of the dead person can be attributed to a special beacon – and your partner returns to the game (though without equipment). It gets especially tense – if two of your partners are killed, you have to choose: either quietly pick up the tokens and run headlong to the lighthouse, or try to enter the battle and take revenge on the offenders alone.

The game has some disadvantages, but I don’t want to pay attention to them. But still, the graphics are quite outdated. But again, I’m judging from the point of view of single games. And I started playing Apex legends after completing RDR2. There is no way to play one against all. (although maybe I didn’t find it?) In any case, I hope this option will appear later. And of course I want more cards. I wouldn’t mind a snow map, or some lava caves.
It would be nice if they added hostile NPCs (wolves, robots, dead people) something like that. But these are just my wishes.

What do we end up with??

— As a result, I found two games for myself in the genre (or still in the mode? lol) royalty. Pubg and Apex. Two completely different games, both in dynamics and in everything else. These are the games that you can come with friends and enjoy playing. The number of situations is simply off the charts, here and there. Don’t hit me for taste, hit me in the nuts, that is, Apex. Good luck to everyone and thank you for reading to the end 🙂

PS Let’s hope that Apex will raise enough money for a sequel to Titanfall, or for a completely new game.
